A lightweight pine needle basket for pens & pencils
This basket would hold a few pens or pencils but is not strong enough to hold much eright. It's very pretty though.
The artist wove and crocheted plastic circles and worked them into the design. All the needle ends were removed and none of the needles have been dyed.

The bottom of the basket is undamaged
The bottom of this basket is not damaged or stained.
You can see how the weaver used the center design to make the starting easier. With the three circles in the center there is no need for really tight turns at the start.
